{"id":413,"date":"2012-02-06T20:28:44","date_gmt":"2012-02-06T20:28:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/stemflowers.wordpress.com\/?p=413"},"modified":"2012-02-06T20:28:44","modified_gmt":"2012-02-06T20:28:44","slug":"a-lovely-busy-weekend","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stemflowers.co.uk\/blog\/a-lovely-busy-weekend\/","title":{"rendered":"A lovely, busy weekend"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/stemflowers.files.wordpress.com\/2012\/02\/hyacinth-tulip-and-narcissi1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-497\" title=\"Hyacinth, tulip and narcissi\" src=\"http:\/\/stemflowers.files.wordpress.com\/2012\/02\/hyacinth-tulip-and-narcissi1.jpg?w=300\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"199\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Well, what a great (if exhausting) weekend Stem had at\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.theukweddingshows.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\">The UK Wedding Show<\/a>! \u00a0Once we&#8217;d negotiated the slightly mad roads around the ExCel Centre London, managing to get lost only a couple of times, we set up our stand with fabulous spring-time flowers and a collection of beautiful bouquets.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/stemflowers.files.wordpress.com\/2012\/02\/spring-table.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-499\" title=\"Spring flower crammed on a  table\" src=\"http:\/\/stemflowers.files.wordpress.com\/2012\/02\/spring-table.jpg?w=225\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In planning the flowers we were going to use, we tried really hard to come up with a way of giving a good indication of Stem&#8217;s personality and creativity. \u00a0We hoped to create a slightly whimsical, magical display and I think it worked!<\/p>\n<p>Quirky accessories, cute little brightly coloured birds, loads of seasonal foliage and branches of blossom looked absolutely gorgeous next to the fragrant narcissi and hyancinths, tulips, anemones and feverfew. \u00a0We even planted \u00a0jewel coloured primulas in teacups, milk-jugs and sugar bowls.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/stemflowers.files.wordpress.com\/2012\/02\/teacups-with-primulas.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-505\" title=\"Teacups with primulas\" src=\"http:\/\/stemflowers.files.wordpress.com\/2012\/02\/teacups-with-primulas.jpg?w=300\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"199\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We had a smashing day working alongside\u00a0<a title=\"Visit Beauberry House\" href=\"http:\/\/www.beauberryhouse.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\">Beauberry House<\/a>,\u00a0<a title=\"fantastic photographers\" href=\"http:\/\/www.shotbythesheriff.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\">Shot by the Sheriff<\/a>,\u00a0<a title=\"gorgeous makeup artist\" href=\"http:\/\/www.katiefinemakeup.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Katie Fine<\/a>,\u00a0<a title=\"events management and promoters of wedding bands and music artists\" href=\"http:\/\/www.slrmanagement.co.uk\" target=\"_blank\">SLR Management<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a title=\"completely brilliant violinist\" href=\"http:\/\/www.eloiseprouse.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Eloise Prouse<\/a>\u00a0and were really frantically busy talking to lovely people on both days.
